ABOUT

My name is Anay Amalean and I am a student at the University of Central Florida. My passion for math, physics, and astronomy extends from when I was about 8 years old. I would love to watch documentaries, and at this time, COSMOS, narrated by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, was on in the living room. There are no words to describe how I felt when I saw the animation of the universe beyond Earth. Exploring and detailing the universe is something that I hope to do in some form for the rest of my life. However, math and physics are paramount to that wish, and getting through them proved to be quite difficult. As I progressed from class to class, I learned how to learn, but also how to struggle. It is much better to struggle with practice and guidance on a subject than to struggle with knowing what to ask. One way to go about this, is to have someone who can relate information in a productive and simplistic manner, to where questions arise naturally as a consequence of well structured learning, rather than to struggle with a complex topic alone, often not knowing where to begin. As I have been the one taught, and the one to teach others, I've been able to use that dynamic to help create plans to help myself and students get the grades needed, but also understand what is going on. I still have a ways to go in my journey through physics and math, but if I can help others on that path as well, I believe it would be worthwhile.
